These are the most frequently asked questions we receive.
What is KoY?Keepers of Yggdrasil («KoY») is a small, friendly, rank 30 Final Fantasy XIV Free Company located on Coeurl (Crystal Data Center). We welcome all players from sprouts and casual story enjoyers to raiders, crafters, and gatherers.
What does KoY's membership look like?We are a small FC of roughly 15 active members. While most of our members are well into Dawntrail and end-game content, we accept players regardless of their skill level and progress in the main story (MSQ). KoY consists of PC and console players from locations including but not limited to the United States, Canada, and Australia. We have no role requirements; come as you are!
Does KoY have FC housing?Yes! We have a large FC estate in Shirogane (Ward 13, Plot 60) called the Sanctuary of Roots. Please stop by anytime.

What is KoY's current recruitment status?Recruitment of new FC members is now Open!
We are now actively recruiting new members to the FC.
How can I apply to join KoY?To easily submit an application to join KoY, use our Contact Form.You may also join our Discord server directly to apply.If you would rather apply to the FC in game, you can submit an application from the Company Profile dialog accessible from right-clicking on an existing member or from our FC estate's Placard.Even when we are not actively recruiting, we always consider new applications and referrals.
What should I expect when I submit an application?A member of our Admin Team will reach out to you to answer any questions you may have about joining us.If your application is approved, we will invite you to the in-game FC with a trial rank of Dreng. We will then invite you to our FC's Discord server and encourage you to introduce yourself and review our rules.You will hold the trial rank Dreng anywhere from 14-30 days to give you the chance to vibe check the FC, and for the FC to ensure that you are a good fit. This is a low-pressure situation that is designed to ease you into the FC at a comfortable pace. Trial members have limited Company Chest access and minimal FC-related permissions (gardening, housing, FC actions, chocobo stables, etc.).Members that successfully complete the trial period (i.e. are active in the FC and are deemed a good fit) are promoted to Keeper rank and granted expanded Company Chest access and FC-related privileges.
